Therefore, any alteration, however minor it may be, does not usually go unnoticed. From our point of view, a good blepharoplasty result is one that does not look “operated”. The aim is not to change the patient’s expression or eyes, as they are part of who we each are, but to look more relaxed, less tired, with the appearance of a more youthful look.<\/p>\n

During normal ageing, excess skin appears on the upper eyelid and an increase in bags on the lower eyelid, producing a tired and eldery look. Blepharoplasty corrects these changes, favouring a clearer, more relaxed, lively and youthful look.<\/p>\n

The eyelids are highly complex and delicate structures that protect the eye. Any alteration in them, however small, can alter eye health. It is therefore essential to perform a complete eye examination before any eyelid surgery to avoid risks to the eyes and visual function.<\/p>\n

We therefore recommend that blepharoplasty be performed by an ophthalmologist specialising in oculoplastic, whose exclusive dedication to the periocular area enables him or her to comprehensively assess changes in the eyelids and protect ocular health<\/em>.[\/vc_column_text][vc_tta_accordion shape=”square” c_position=”right” active_section=”9″ no_fill=”true” collapsible_all=”true”][vc_tta_section title=”RAPID RECOVERY” tab_id=”1676465263590-4b06f10d-7357″][vc_column_text]Upper and lower blepharoplasty is a definitive surgery, which is not very aggressive, with a quick recovery, and is performed under local anaesthesia and on an outpatient basis <\/em>(without hospitalisation), even when the upper and lower eyelids are operated on in the same surgery. It is always performed in the operating room and in the presence of an anaesthetist, who performs intravenous sedation to help eliminate anxiety, nervousness and pain during the surgery. There is usually no pain after surgery either.<\/p>\n
